Barcode Compatibility - Regular Expression
- Finding the Symbology of a Barcode;

Open the QSCAN Manager.

Place a form with a barcode that isn’t being detected onto the scanner.

Go to Tools, then Barcode Detector.

Click the middle icon on the right to select the scanner and its settings.
5. Click the 3rd Icon on the right to scan in a page.
6. This will bring up the page with any barcodes QSCAN can read highlighted in red – hover over them to see the symbology (Code 39, Code 128, etc.) and the contents.
7. Make a note of this for the barcode that isn’t being picked up – as well as which field this should go in.
8. Close Barcode Detector.

Open the QSCAN Manager – if you do not have a shortcut for this, copy and paste the below path into ‘Run’
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Ideagen PLC\dartQSCAN 3\QscanManager.exe". -
Go to {Project Group} then right click on the project you wish to use the new barcodes with, and select ‘Configure Barcodes…’

In the window that opens, select ‘Barcode Config’ from the options on the left.
4. Find the Field that the new barcode that will be linked to, and then click the dropdown box under ‘Type’.
5. Select the new barcode type, then click ‘Apply’ then ‘OK’.
6. Test this in QSCAN.
